Repurposing
We take pride in sustainability, since we know it's as important for you, as it is for us. All of our candle jars can easily be cleaned out and repurposed for household use.

How to clean candle jars
-
The freezer method. This is one of the easiest ways to get every last bit of wax out of the glass jar. Stick the candle in the freezer for at least an hour, then very carefully, use a butterknife or spoon to pop out the remaining layer of wax. If it doesn't come out easily, gently break cracks into it and let the pieces fall out. Once you've gotten the majority of wax out, remove the wick and its holder by lightly tugging it. Once everything is out, use hot soapy water to remove and residue. Dawn dish soap always usually does the trick! (Tip: Don't pour the wax down the drain)

The hot water method. If you have no room in your freezer, try this hot water trick. Boil a cup of hot water, then very carefully pour it into the candle jar. After a few minutes, you can gently scrape the the wax with a spoon or butterknife to help loosen it. Rinse the jar out with soap and hot water. Once again, Dawn dish soap always helps! (Tip: Don't pour the wax down the drain)

Removing the label: Use mineral oil and hot soapy water to help lift the adhesive and scrape it off, or place it under a warm hair dryer for 30 seconds - 1 minute, then peel it off. You can also try Goo-Gone, alcohol, or nail polish remover, as these household items sometimes help.

Now that you have nice clean jars...it's time to get creative! You can use the jar to hold plants that easily grow with water, toothbrush or makeup brush holder, jar to hold cotton balls or swabs, etc. The possibilities are endless!

If you decide you can't think of anything to reuse the jars for, we also believe in karma. Glass is 100% and endlessly recyclable. A glass container can go from a recycling bin to a store shelf in as little as 30 days. We utilize jars that are made with more than 50% recycled glass for all of our candles- so what comes around goes around. Thank you for helping contribute to the preservation of the environment! <3

**Each of our single candles also come packaged with a natural linen drawstring bag. This can be repurposed too!
